True. You can still get a nice clean strat tone from it however.

In the larger sense of the word, no. But on this board? The conversation might go something like:

"Eric Clapton, my name is Dilemma. Pleasure to meet you, I own one of your Signature Strats."

"My pleasure, and I am glad you enjoy the Strat."

"Noob"

"Umm, excuse me?"

"I called you a Noob."

"WTF is a 'Noob'?

"Someone who is new to a forum. You are new here, so you are a Noob."

"Does someone have a Gibson I can clobber this buffoon with?" :D

this is awesome

I thought exactly the same.

I really do hate the term 'Noob', it's completely rubbish. It conveys this whole underlying, unspoken idea of someone new to a internet site not knowing anything. Sorry but assuming somebody knows nothing is complete arrogance and therefore stupidity in my book.

Mmm. Agreed. I much prefer "Nub".

"Nubcakes" would be a close second.

Clapton is a noob.

 sounded way too funny in my head not to post

I guess that's what seperates all of us forum members from professional players like Clapton. They play to live. We live to play. We just have that annoying part of our lives called work, preventing us from being able to play to live... If I could be a noob like Clapton, I would!

We do our best to make it as friendly as possible. Except for that Clapton. Who does he think he is coming here swinging es335's at headheight?

Watchout for the Clap.
