Hi Dilemma, and welcome to the forum. And most of all, thank you for being able to spell the word "dilemma." That's one of the most commonly misspelled words around these parts, and it drives me nuts. :x

Which, by the way, tells you just about everything there is to know about me.

Beautiful guitar, by the way. Once again, welcome! 8)

Welcome! What brings to the forums? Great guitar by the way. Nice to see one of the original signature models... Can you tell about the electronics on that firecracker?

Nothing in particular brought me here really, I was a lurker for a long time, just reading. Then I thought, "Join. Don't cost nuthin'!"

The serial number on this is SE 8XXXXX. This puts this circa 1989. This is one of the earlier Signature Series Strats wtih the mid-boost control on it. I am impressed wtih how much output this has with the mid-boost rolled on. I swear it more than my humbucker installed Ibanez's,,

It runs at about 70K ohms even with the midboost pot down on zero. It's got more output than anything I've ever heard before.

How could that ever be a dyele.. dilem... dailem...problem?

I hate the expression 'noob'. If Clapton joined up and only had a handfull of posts would he be a noob?

Welcome to the Forum Dilemma

True. You can still get a nice clean strat tone from it however.

In the larger sense of the word, no. But on this board? The conversation might go something like:

"Eric Clapton, my name is Dilemma. Pleasure to meet you, I own one of your Signature Strats."

"My pleasure, and I am glad you enjoy the Strat."

"Noob"

"Umm, excuse me?"

"I called you a Noob."

"WTF is a 'Noob'?

"Someone who is new to a forum. You are new here, so you are a Noob."

"Does someone have a Gibson I can clobber this buffoon with?" :D
