I keep my collection simple. SSS Strat and a Les Paul. Two different tones for a complete sound. Its more about substance, than quantity....

I've bought 3 of the American Standards and they're good working guitars.I get different colors though.
The last 3 Strats have been Reissue models.
As far as I'm concerned they're all Strats, just a little different in their own way.

I've owned three Strats over the years. I've had a '67, an '89 American Standard with locking nut, and now I have a 2009 70's Mexican made Ash body.. which out of the three is my favorite! I'm really impressed with this model. The workmanship is as good or better than either of the other two.

I also have a 2006 Gibson Smartwood Peroba (if you like a lighter Les Paul these are awesome guitars) and a Yairi DYM94 solid Mahogany/Spruce that's a totally incredible guitar.

Unfortunately though I have all of them for sale on Craigslist at the moment because I ran out of money (life sure gets interesting sometimes).

I have two MIM standards. Different year models, one maple fretboard, one rosewood. The feel is the same, but the vibe and tone does vary between the two.
