How the heck did I miss that one???!!?
I would have loved an Oly White in my collection!!
The only FSR Highway I knew of was the "none more black" one of the floor with the ( I changed the PG to tortoise) painted headstock and spaghetti logo!
Oh well........musn't be greedy!

Oh, man, I am sorry to hear that you missed out on the Oly White.

Did you ever have a SSS Hwy 1?

I think Dave's Guitar Shop had a FSR Hwy 1.

Disclaimer: I have an Amber HSS.

I remembered that, sort of. But no small headstock ones!

This is the only listing of the guitar I have ever found for anyone interested
m.guitarguitar.co.uk/Product/09102311134429

There is a bit of a sad story to my prized guitar though. Bit of a long story... all started with an old acoustic. I had an old acoustic that I painted with black chalk board paint, so my daughter could draw on it with chalk and we could rub it off then draw a new design. She loved it. We would draw the notes on it, and write words to the song so she could sing along when I played. However being a kid, she thought that it was now ok to draw on all of daddies guitars! you know where I'm going with this.
well lets just say I have a nice permanent marker sharpie doodle on my Olympic white start. Shocking eh!
Lucky it was on the top edge and not the front so it's not that visible. But what a shame

So if anyone knows how to safety get rid of permanent marker from a guitar please let me know

Thanks

From what I recall Fender did a matching American Special FSR with a maple fingerboard:

(guitar is not mine)

So we have two guitars reflecting Jimi's tastes: Highway 1 Strat, Olympic White, Rosewood Fingerboard - American Special Strat, Olympic White, Maple Neck - each with different pickups and the latter resembling very much to the iconic axe this great voodomaster played at Woodstock in 1969.

I did however get my Oly White fix with another American Special FSR, exclusive to Guitar Center only. In, of course, HSS format!
I have her done up MY way......stock would never do!
DiMarzio Area 58(N)
DiMarzio Area 67(M)
DiMarzio 36th Anniv.P.A.F.
Fender Schaller Locking Tuners
Graph Tech String Saver Saddles
(photo taken pre-mods)
Knowing me.......I'd get the Oly Highway in the above link and spend another $300.00 or so converting it to HSS!
