That is indeed a Standard. Tuners are original.

If you remove the neck I bet you find dates stamps that say 1988 or 1989.

What are the first 2 digits/letters of your serial#?

If this was an american then it would be 1989 "E9"....

Thanks everybody for the help!

What about a flea-bay vaule...any ideas??

Opps..I see Jim already covered flea-bay.

Ok...based on the pictures here, if you look at Ebay you'll see a fair number of similar instruments (many from the same seller) going for right around $500. That said, I don't usually see many of them sell for that price which tells me that real world pricing is going to be a bit lower. Hopefully some other folks will chime in here now that the pictures are up but I would say a fair price for this instrument including the hardshell case would probably be around $400 - $425 tops give or take depending on the demand in your area. Again I have an '85 Squier and she's -very- similar (my Squier has the Fender/Japan tuners and only 1 traditional string T but otherwise she's damn near identical) and I payed $329...so $400 for the Fender name and the apparent condition sounds just about right to me.

Honestly I wish I had the money...I'd make you an offer here. These really are very good quality instruments (even if they don't fetch a big price)...as I said the earlier MIJ's have a very well earned rep for excellent quality and I'm sure that's probably a really nice piece you have there.

Alrighty, I hope that's ball park enough for ya and I hope it helps!

Jim
