i'm still learning about customization and new parts and such, so please pardon me if i'm asking ridiculous questions

after finally making an attempt to replace the rusting saddles on my seldom-used mim standard strat, i learned that particular model has narrower saddles, and had to return the saddles i'd purchased for a new set.

now, i'm ready to do the same for my mim deluxe fat strat (the all-black version, updated with seymour duncan distortion trembucker, vintage rails, cool rails - this is my main gigging guitar). in placing the old saddles of my standard next to those of the deluxe, it appears that the deluxe might employ the wider saddles that are used on american standards. now, maybe i need a new prescription for my glasses, but can anyone verify this? using narrower saddles will leave gaps, and i guess that's not a big deal, but i'm kind of weird about having the exact part that i need instead of some approximation.

No, you're not going crazy. The Deluxe MIM Strats use the 'normal' or American sized saddles. As a matter of fact, a Trembucker wouldn't line up properly if they didn't.
