Hey all, simple question. What are some suggestions for pedals to get a pink floyd sound from albums like "dark side of the moon" or the "wall"? Thanks!

Lite'nin: go to Gilmourish. There's a T-shirt available which folks like you and I should own. It goes with the guitar. 8)

David says no reunion:

Syd and I were just talking.. It's not David's fault.

Love,

Richard Wright

During from a few months before The Madcap Laughs (brilliant album), and for the rest of his lifetime, Syd wanted nothing to do with the Pink Floyd. He couldn't figure out why people always asked him questions about a band he was no longer in. And eventhough Syd absolutely thought David took his place in the floyd, they were to be friends, if not close, for the rest of Syd's life. David has many times uttered his regrets towards not paying Syd a visit during his late years back in Cambridge.

Hah, sorry. That's probably abit off topic from the question. Just felt a sudden need to express some feeling concerning Mr. Barrett.
And for the Gilmour sound, I guess my tip will be...
Buy his signature line of GHS strings for the strat, I put them on yesterday, and they're brilliant.

Swapped them out of my Gilmour for 9.5's, but put them on my VG Strat. Puts a lot more meat into that Baritone setting. Awesome 8)

I believe he had quite a straight forward setup. I read in a magazine a while back that he went to record on someones album and brought in all this gear, pedals, racks etc. Then the artist said, 'I was looking for the pink floyd sound' and he broke his setup down to something very simple.

I get spot on Pink Floyd/David Gilmour sound by playing the Dark Side of the Moon Cd through my amp while holding my Strat and wheeping.

Damn, and I thought I was the only one. 8) Must be those 2.5 step bends that did me in.Seriously though,I heard DG doesnt have any desire to do a reunion because it would only be for money.I know he and RW dont get along and he has no desire to work with him.I know RW can be a egomaniac.I am just thankful Roger didnt insist on doing all the lead vocals.
