It's pointless to argue the toss with him about the guitar, you may as well walk away. He hasn't advertized it as something it's not. It's not like he's trying to make out its a customshop or something. It's just too expensive in my (and probably your) estimation.

Hey did I get the name of the guitar right? The Green Goblin, or did you just edit the conversation to be kind.

Can you please tell me some more about it.

I agree, I'm done with that deal but I just wanted to see how far he'd go with his story before he quit so I did ask him a few follow up questions on it. I don't plan on doing any trade with him. I would be interested in trying a different guitar out if I could find something else to play.

I didn't edit any of those emails (except to edit out the bad words), he just messed up the name of it in the first email. It's not the "Green Machine" but is the "Green Goblin" as you correctly called it. The best source for information on it is on the HMR website, http://www.hmrguitars.com/StaceyDavid.htm I am the second owner, Stacey David was the original owner before me (from the TV show GEARZ.) Stacey also has designed a few Gibson custom guitars in addition to the Green Goblin (they are shown on his website). The green goblin is a unique guitar for sure and I'm hoping to find a good home for it and I'm hoping for a cash offer or interesting trade to come along. HMR builds a really nice guitar, and puts a lot of attention to detail. Each guitar is custom made and hand crafted.

Hey Im liking that 'Green Goblin'!!! :D

Thats the most brilliant thing ive seen in a while. Its the sort of guitar you would chase off kids 'Trick or Treating' whilst wearing a grim reeper costume on a full moon Halloween night- perhaps with a voice like Vincent Price on the Thriller video

Thats awesome :D

Thanks for your comments on the Green Goblin... Some love it, some hate it. I was drawn to it because of its uniqueness, but now just want something that is "less unique" so I don't stand out quite so much and something I can play in church without looking like I'm in a rock band (I play my other guitar when I play at church).

I just got an update from the seller of that Harley one... After pressing for more information he now writes that, "The guitar was designed by a guy that once worked for Fender. He never sold
another one, only made one, so this is it..." and includes more pictures (including of the custom neck plate) in his photo album at: http://s978.photobucket.com/albums/ae261/ready2rocknroll/Fender%20Stratocaster%20Harley%20Davidson%20Edition-Rare/

Thanks again everyone for helping me steer clear of the "Harley" guitar. I appreciate your help.

Matt
