Do you prefer 21 frets strat or 22 frets strat?
I myself play a 21 fret strat, feel it is ideal for me and
provide enough fret space required for solo playing.

I have both, and it really doesn't matter to me.

Well, the 21 has worked like a charm since the beginning of time and if it's good enough for all the legends, then it's good enough for me.

For me it's 21 all the way, I have no use for 22 or anything more.

I have both. I have heard theories about 21's sounding sweeter, because of the neck pickup being in a different position.

I just find a 21 fretter to have a more classic look. That was one of the things that made me buy my Custom Classic Pro upon first sight. It had the two-point tremolo and 21-frets.

It was like marrying my CS'64 with my Jeff Beck Artist.

It really doesn't matter to me. I don't go that high up the neck. My Strat has 21 frets.

21.
because realistically you're not going to ever go up to the 22nd fret on the high E.

and it just makes your playing field smaller by taking out a fret.

I think the neck pickup is in the same position on both guitars... it's just closer to the end of the fingerboard on a 22 fret neck, but in the same position relative to the bridge, whihc is what matters.

I don't really care, although I do use the 22nd fret on my guitar once in a great while. I sure as hell don't care about how it looks.

The 22 frets is just useful if you want to do some bend on the 22nd because she's difficult to access because your hand stop at the 21st or mid 21st 22nd.

21 frets is plenty. if you need to get a higher note, bend the string.
