Mully, the streak on you fretboard adds a lot of character.

I see people all the time, wanting uniformly dark fretboards. And they even want to dye their rosewood to look like ebony. I guess that look is cool, but I prefer the look of woodgrain myself. Too uniformly dark, and to me it stops looking like wood, and could be a synthetic material for all we know. So for me the streak in your board really adds character. From my perspective I would probably pay more for hat than a perfectly black one. To be honest, if your board didn't have that streak I probably would think it was ho hum, but with it, I have to say it is by far the nicest ebony board I have ever seen.

I actually saw you on the Warmoth board,(I have a project in the pipes, hopefully have time to work on it soon,) and I signed up when I saw the thread linking to Ceri's refurbish here. Ceri if you're reading, a lot of nice people had a lot of nice things to say about your work there too.

But anyway, I picked my fretboard because of the grain pattern, to me it had more style than any of the others, though one of my friends didn't like it for the very same reasons i did like it:

here's a teaser for everyone, i can only imagine how it'll pop after I oil it, because it's already sweet dry.

So you guys can put a face to the posts....

Here I am after taking delivery of my Road King head and cabbie.

Me on stage.....'89 Strat Plus in my hands.

Then I was walking through the Budokan a few years back and this guy stopped me and wanted his picture taken with me. I obliged. Gotta do it, it's for the fans.
Image

Oh yeah, he had a guitar with him so I thought I'd show him a thing or 2.

No matter how hard you try, if you're on stage at the Budokan holding Eddie Van Halen's striped Wolfie special.....you just can not look cool at all. The melon head face comes out.

Oh yeah, I wasn't allowed to stand up with it.

I hope you were gracious enough to sign his guitar for him, anything to inspire those rank amateurs!

In all seriousness, I have never before or since touched a guitar that felt like that one. The string action is so low.....I'm surprised it doesn't buzz.
MULLY
I honestly don't see how it doesn't buzz
