Every price I've seen is $1,500.

Musians Friend is an online store. They have about the most reasonable prices. Will give you and idea anyway. Theres also Sam Ash, Sweetwater, and others.

Thank you guys for your help. I found the one I wanted at GuitarHotline - very helpful. GuitarHotline was the only place that had the Strat we where looking for. Not the cheapest - but they really did have great customer support. Don't get me wrong Sweetwater and Musicians Friend had great customer support as well - they just didn't have the right Strat.

Glad you found the one you wanted, the old deluxes are clearing out for $1,099 to $1,199 which is a great price for an excellent guitar.

I still am confused on Fenders monthly pricing on guitars as it is not only confusing but also annoying. I had no problem when the price hike went into effect but it burns my a## to see a guitar $2,200 one month then at $1,600 the next. Am I the only one that feels like this.

The bug guys generally have the same prices. Do they tend to negotiate much if you're in the store, or do you have to rely on their sales/promotions?

Interesting to find that when making a guitar purchase you need to do your homework before you go to buy as it is a lot like buying a car.

I have also found that some of the local guitar shops will just try to sell you anything - Make sure you know how to read the serial numbers. One guitar shop tried to sell me a floor demo. They said it was brand new. But when I read the serial number and told them it was manufactured in 2005 because that was what the SR number stated - they backed off and told me it was a guitar that was returned and is now a floor model.
