I just put a deposit on my MIM Fender Lonestar Stratocaster Deluxe, getting the white one, it looks like its been in the shop a while, the serial number is MZ8... meaning it could b 2 years old. I should have it by August, I'll put pictures up of it with my current 2003 MIM Standard Stratocaster when I get it. I just wanted to share the news with you guys.
:D

Great guitar! I had one from the same year and it was the same model/finish. I really loved the look of the guitar, not so much with the humbucker (just too much UMPH for me). I ended up trading it for a Roadhouse of the same color, but I'm in the process of swapping the neck for a Lonestar neck.

The SD is actually perfect for my playing style, I'm a metal guitarist and if I set the amp right the Pearly Gates puts out some punch. I like the Roadhouse to, they are great guitars also, I do like their sound but not enough UMPH for me. I was thinking of buying my dad the Roadhouse for Christmas, he's a blues and a country player, so it would be ideal for him.

I fall more into your dad's style of music... Not that I can't get some awesome metal/nu-metal harmonics and tone threw the texas specials when I'm in the mood....

Jag-Stang89,

Great guitar choice. I was looking at one of those a couple weeks ago. I came close to getting it but an awesome deal fell into my lap so I jumped on it instead. I know you are going to love it when you get it. Please post pics when you do. Congratulations!!!

A third guitar is missing: the double-humbucker MIM Deluxe Big Apple Stratocaster.

The original Big Apple Strat of 1997 was a first-generation American Standard with two snarling Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups, a Pearly Gates Plus in the bridge and a '59 in the neck. It was renamed American Double Fat Strat in 2000 and discontinued with the advent of the S1-equipped American Strat HH in 2003.
