I am looking at buying a used Fat Strat from reputable guitar store. The strat is a SSH American Standard strat with a Duncan humbucker at the bridge. I am trying to understand the approx age and if this model was priced above the SSS strats during this period. I am assuming this was a stock configuration, but I can't answer my questions after a ton of searches. My guess is the FAT strat is about 10-12 years old.

I can buy a one year old SSS Standard American Strat for $650 or the FAT strat with stock Duncan humbucker for $790. I should say, the guitars are being sold by two different reputable guitar stores.

tks in advance
