It depends on how many they made. I think they made quite a few.

I just bought a used one in Black with a maple neck, and with noiseless pickups for $799. The same year (2004) and with the same neck plate.

"I think they made quite a few."

Yeah,..ALL 2004 American made Strats have the "50th Anniversary" neckplate.

So,it's worth whatever an American Strat is worth, made in 2004.

The "true" 50th's,(meaning,.the ones that were made to commemorate the '54 Strat),...that are holding some of their value are the :

50th Anniversary Deluxe,

The 50th Anniversary AmSe.,

The 50th Custom shop (close to a real '54 strat) ,and probably to a much lesser extent,.. the 50th Anniversary MIM (golden strat)

The things that are common to all of the American 50th's,were that they were only available in 2 tone sunburst,.maple necks,.and 1 ply pickguard.

I was trying to be nice for a change.
They made tons of them. The neck plate doesn't hold much value. It's still an 04 Strat. It's used so whatever the market is. I doubt it went up or even held its value. Sorry.

But you wouldnt believe how many people out there that think they have something special, mostly sellers who want to con people into paying more than its worth. :x

You know the way it works in the UK. The guitar wont have the same value as a normal American Standard, say from 03 or 05. It will be slightly more, maybe another £100 or so.

My advice is not to sell the guitar. Sell a kidney or something, your gonna need that guitar at uni when your skint. Your going to meet other muso's and want to get together with em.

The one thing about used guitar pricing is that its very dependant on location.

Where you going to uni?

My friend selling your guitar is the easy way....The guitar means something to you it is obvious...
How long will it take for the money from the sale of the guitar to be gone a month 6 weeks then what...Now you have no guitar and no money...
My suggestion is find a new plan of attack
