I use a warm moist cloth. Sit it on the sticker for a few minutes (wet it again if you need to) then the sticker will peel off.

If the glue doesn't come off my old trick is to use some tape. The glue sticks really well to the fresh glue on the tape. This will lift it right up without rubbing the finish at all.

My first question when buying a guitar with stickers is "whats under the sticker" :)
