Give me your advice on replacing the Bridge/Saddles of my American Standard Strat... I'm leaning toward the GraphTech nut and saddles.

Craptech saddles are horrible they dull the sound of the strings and look terrible too. Their nuts are great though. Good enough to warrant a needless replacement? No.

If you absolutely must replace the stock bridge/saddles I highly recommend Callaham http://www.callahamguitars.com/index.html

Not really sure will make much difference. The nut material isn't really a factor unless you are playing open chords and with electric most people are either playing bar chords or lead. Acoustic is another matter. More likely to be playing open chords. I changed my saddle to Graph Tech Tusq because they didn't have a bone blank in the size I needed - kinda wish they were out of bone nut blanks too and would have gone Tusq on both ends. Not sure what the price difference was but looking at the Tusq package and was less than $10 for saddle blank. That was counter price at the guitar shop but you can buy direct from them online. They also sell Tusq bridge pins but haven't tried them. Would definately make the switch on acoustic - especially if you can install it and set the intonation yourself. Otherwise expect to pay about $100 for tech time.

There is no doubt there prices are pretty high..But that machine work isn't cheap..The stainless is a major plus and you can tell that it is pure quality..I probably wouldn't put this stuff on any guitar ..But on the guitars that i know are going to be with me for life the price means nothing and quality means everything..
