Let Fender know how you would feel about having this as an option:
Add a true white color option 30%  30%  [ 3 ]
Don't bother - existing options are fine 70%  70%  [ 7 ]

Let me say first and foremost I am a huge fan of the Fender American Standard Stratocaster. I have a black 2008 with some customizations (pickups & locking tuners) and have a Blizzard White on order that will also be customized on receipt. What I really wanted was a pure white strat which isn't offered. You can order an Olympic White which should really be called 'Light Cream' or 'Off White'. The closest option was the 'Arctic White' Mexican which just isn't the same thing. I'm considering picking up a spare body and having it painted white but I'm concerned it would affect the resonance if the finish isn't done just right. Beyond that it's not exactly cheap to buy an extra body and have it custom finished.

Anyway, here's what I'm thinking  : if enough people express the same interest maybe the powers that be at Fender will consider offering a true white American Standard Stratocaster to the product line.

First off let me say I would love to see more colors available on alot of their models but heres why I voted the other way. I'm almost sure Fender's R&D department looked at the best selling colors of the past few years and stuck with those while adding some newer ones that got great test results in product testing. I could be absolutly wrong though but either way i trust Fender in what they do, I mean come on they put Lake Placid Blue and candy Apple Red on MIM standards soon fallowed by Squiers CV series so we working men can afford some custom hot rod colors.

I love the look of the Olympic White/Maple American Standard. That's the color and fretboard combination I bought when the '08 upgrade Standards were released.

I'm all for more choices, though. Arctic, Vintage, White Blonde? Bring 'em on with special runs.

John

The oly white is hugely popular .Fender did away with the blue colors in the MIA strats due to they werent selling.Currently I have a charcoal frost that I really like. They are very careful not to offer too many choices and they seem to move the colors around a bit .One I wish they would do again is Surf Pearl. It was on the "hotrodded series " and it was great with the pearloid pickgard.
