Hi i just bought a fender standard strat MIM and i found something that i dont know if it bad or what but i don like it.

It seems like te birge is not paralel to the pickguard, i dont know if the problem is the pickguard or the bridge, but the space betwen the bridge and the pickguard is a little bigger at the lowest point of the gap.

PLEASE HELP

+1 What Big Jay said if the end of your Strat bridge is lifted off the body and looks similar to this:

It's normal and your bridge is set to "float" so you can pull up and down on the trem bar. That's the way Strats come from the factory. Like he said it's your preference if you want the bridge floating or not. I float mine. There are many threads here about floating versus decking or blocking the trem. There is no right or wrong way, it's totally up to you. Here is some helpful info: http://www.fender.com/support/stratocas ... _guide.php

Now if your bridge or pickgaurd was installed crooked, that's an entirely different problem. CNC machines basically shape the bodies and drill all the holes in MIM Strats, so they should all be the same with tight tolerances but I suppose some glitch could have happened to make it askew. Shouldn't have made it through inspection though. A crooked bridge will make intonation impossible. Crooked pickguard is just cosmetic and can be fixed by filling and redrilling the offending hole(s) if it bothers you that much. Can you take a picture so we can determine what you're talking about and how bad it is? Did you buy the Strat new? If so maybe you could exchange it for another one? Disregard this last pragraph if your original question is just referring to bridge angle.
