Post subject: Is my Strat a MIM or a MIA?

I just bought a strat in a pawn shop in montreal.

It says "made in U.S.A." under de STRATOCASTER sign but the serial number starts with MZ under the FENDER sign. What is it then?

Thanks for your answers. I paid 525CAN$ for it, so i want to know if it was worth it...

Sounds like a forged "Made In USA" decal on a MIM neck. Detailed pics would be helpful. Maybe it's not even a real Fender since forgers many times put on a mix of fake decals.

How many frets?
What material is the truss rod ring on the headstock? (walnut or black plastic?)
What color is the guitar?
Is there anything inscribed on the back neck plate?
Does the back of your pickups look like this?
