it's a little more than i want to pay without trying it out but it is a seriously well priced guitar. (around £800.) i did have 9.5" radius (non fender) neck that gave me cramp in my hands. it may have been more to do with the thickness of the neck or it's "shape" wihich i do not know how to tell. i am ok with 10" 60's shaped necks. what do you think to the 7.5" "u shape" scalloped neck on his sig guitar?

For me a thinner neck will make me cramp up way faster than a thicker neck. As far as the Blackmore I love the look though I never played a scalloped neck, as I believe that ax is scalloped after the fifth fret, I just feel that it should have been US made guitar. Not that I have anything against MIM but a US is the highest honor and I feel a player of his caliber deserved it.

looks good! If it sounds anything like Ritchie, it's a good deal!
Like straycat113 had mentioned, an American Standard would've been much nicer but only $1000 more expensive! I say go for it!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I could be wrong about this because I'm not completely certain but I believe it was in 1989 or thereabouts. Now that's MIM "Fenders" I'm talking about.

The first Squiers made in Mexico were built in 1980 or 1981 and then the Squire facility moved to Japan in 1982 or so.
