I tried the hss 2010 deluxe with the passing lane switch
and I did like the idea in theory but in practice
it was hard to use as the volume was way over the top
as was the trble response it might work okay
with a pedal but if you are going from clean rythm
say volume on 7-8 (on guitar) then hit the switch
the volume jump is so dramatic I think it would
be hard to use live as your volume would blow peoples
eardrums thats just my first impression

This switch is also called the "blower", a feature used by many other guitar makers such as Suhr and and Yamaha.

Very tasty, it supercharges the bridge humbucker by routing the signal from any pickup position to the bridge. It also bypasses both Volume and Tone controls, transforming your guitar into a screaming rock machine.

I prefer my "beef" via a footswitch-controllable device......
