Hey guys, I just setup my new Highway 1 And I thought I'd Let you know how it went.
I tried Ernie Ball's for the first time(10's instead of 9's) my other Strat has 11's and the Fender 9's were too flimsy. I followed the setup guide in Fenders support section on this website and it worked great. I had to make a truss rod adjustment because according to fenders specs, I had a little too much reliefe in the neck. I have never fooled with the truss rod and boy was I nervous!. I made small adjustments at a time and re-tuned and checked clearance each time. All in all after treating the neck with a little Dr. Ducks, new strings and adjusting the action and intonation, It plays great.
I think I'm going to like the Earnie Ball strings better than the XL's and I had a blast doing the setup. It took me about 2 hours.

That's great ! I like my Hwy 1 and use D'Addario XL120+ on them, but they're getting harder to find.
