Hey People,

Ok please allow me to state this clearly, I am not trying to sell these items on this Fender Forum.

What I am seeking is your Valued Expertise.

I am asking;

What would be a fair price in $AUD to sell these two items within Australia.

I have been tinkering with the idea for a while now. I have many other Strats and amps that I have a strong connection with but I don't go to these to often enough to justify keeping them.

Here are some of the specs and photo's to assist in failry pricing them.

I apologise upfront if I unknowingly offend anybody, I just need your help thats all.

Thanks for your assistance.

Fender Stratocaster Guitar & Amplifier Package

Blue 1994 Made In Japan Fender Stratocaster ST-43

I have upgraded this Strat with Fender Custom Shop Texas Special Pickups, Aged White Pickup Covers, Knobs & Switch Tip, F logo Neck Plate, Fender Bridge Saddles, New Five Way Switch.

As it won’t show in the photos, the pick guard is starting to show an aged white colour which is really cool looking.

The neck is in great condition, as is the fret wire and fret board.
This baby has a very nice easy action with a floating bridge set up.
Tremolo Arm will be Included + Hard case.

If you are looking for that real Strat Spank and Tone, this is the Strat for you!!

2008 Fender Frontman 100 watt Amplifier

She has only been gig’d once and is absolutely loud if needed to cut through the band.
This is a Solid State Amp that sings that Fender Tone.
As the pic shows, it is in Mint Condition.
She has been tucked away since her one and only gig because I have found the tone of Tube Amps Since, to which is the only reason I am selling the Frontman.

Well, you'll have to convert this from American...sorry...I don't really do foreign currency. Also please remember that prices can always be subjective based on location and demand...prices in your area may be higher or lower.

Ok, the amp is easy...here in the states those go for around $300 new and since that amp looks to be in excellent condition, I'd say you could probably get between $200 and $250 for it used. Don't expect a lot for the amp...it may be a 100 watt 2x12 combo but it's still essentially a "cheap" amp. That's not to say it's bad or anything but it's simply not going to fetch a lot of money regardless of the condition.

The guitar...hmmm...basically it looks like the MIJ version of the MIM's in that it's a "Standard". Now around my neck of the woods, a Standard isn't really that big of a deal...they're good guitars but there are -a lot- of them around. Used but good shape, for an all original Standard, I'd expect to pay between $250 - $350. Now on yours, things like the new "Aged White Pickup Covers, Knobs & Switch Tip, F logo Neck Plate, Fender Bridge Saddles, New Five Way Switch" really are not going to contribute much to the price at all...the pickups will but the rest of that stuff is pretty much cosmetic more than anything else (neck plates and saddles and such are all nickle and dime parts that are easy to obtain on Ebay). So that said, allowing for the Texas Special pickups, around here (that is here in Northern Ohio, USA) a guitar like that would likely go for around $300 to $350...maybe $400 at the very most.

If I were selling this as some kind of "package", I'd probably try and get around $500 out of it for both the guitar and the amp...I might list on some place like Craigslist for $550 to $575 to allow folks to chew me down a bit.

Again you'll want to run that thru a currency converter and you will want to account for local demand...if there are lots of decent used Strats in your part of the world, you won't get as much but if decent electrics are fairly rare you might get a bit more.

Just my $.02 worth...good luck!
Jim
