I'm looking at buying a Mexican Fender Strat that has a Fox Racing logo on it, wondering if this would decrease the value at all or if it is as good as any Mexi Strat. Is there a site where you can put in the serial number and find out the history of the guitar...or is there a method for making sense of the number? thanks, Josh

Most stickers can be removed unless they have been melted on with glue in which case you will have a bad mark left behind.
You got to think also about the possibility if the guitars paintwork has faded there might be a difference in color left behind when its removed.

Some people use stickers to cover up bumps and scrapes.
The value will be lower but its a Mexican Strat to start with there should be plenty around to pick from. If that one speaks to you then get it.

I bought a bass of CL recently that had a sticker stuck on for over 10 yrs. It came off and did not leave a trace.

I used a hair dryer to soften the sticker and glue, then pulled up on the vinyl slowly. Go slow, and let the sticker and the body warm up.

Once off, I used Goo Off, or something, to get the goooy glue off.

Once the glue was cleaned off, I used a really good polish, glaze and wax routine.

The Fox Logo is on the head stock...supposedly like how Monster Drink sponsors the races and gives away prizes.
