Anyone heard the new album yet? I haven't picked it up but planning on getting it soon.

I picked up the new cd last night at the show. It's been in my player ever since we got back into the vehicle after the show. I'm really enjoying it. Track 6 is called "Bird on a Wire" which he did for an encore last night. Amazing song. It seems to have a hint of country in it. If you don't have it...get it !
The whole album has a feel of Greek music, which is appropriate as it was recorded in Black Rock Studios in Greece.

I think Joe is still developing as an artist which is amazing, given he has been a pro player for over 20 years now (he is in his early 30's, but there is footage of him and Danny Gatton when Joe was 11!!)

Hopefully he drops the grudge and puts his Fenders back in the mix, I miss his tone with the gold sparkle strat.

Bird on a Wire, I believe, is a Leonard Cohen song but I could be wrong. He played that at the concert I went to and it was phenomenal! The encore at the show I went to was him playing with his group Black Country with Jason Bonham, Glenn Hughes and Derek Sherinian. That was when the concert got weird to me because I wasn't a big fan of Glenn Hughes's vocals so much. I definitely will be travelling to see Bonamassa again next time around.

I agree with the person who said Fender dropped the ball with this one, Joe should have his own Strat, no doubt about that.

There is nothing to say about him except that he is the real deal and a total beast on the fretboard. No nonsense or gimmicks the guy brings it like it used to be brought. Looking forward to his new band with Gen Hughes and Jason Bonham called Black Country which should have there album out next year.

Saw him at the Denver Blues and Bones a few years back, got to talk to him a bit and he signed a ticket for my daughter. and Joe is a monster, loved his work in Bloodline. Black Rock is a good album. Agree totally with the Sparkly gold Strat. He knocked out a killer solo with it. Didn't hear anything about a fallout with Fender, just knew he has a sig Gibson. Hope he comes back to the Fender fold.
