Mark Knopfler and Jeff Beck influenced me to try playing fingerstyle as well, I'm just much faster with a pick!

I would say Tom Morello for RATM, and Stone Gossard and Mike Mcready from Pearl Jam.

Something deep inside me that shows up when it wishes.

Something so deep, that it at times feels outside of me, and that it is not me playing, yet it is.

The Strat players that I most watch and listen to are Ritchie Blackmore, Eric Johnson and Ronnie Earl.

Jimi Hendrix - the most spectacular electric guitar player ever !!

Duane Allman - probably, the overall best guitar player ever - his electric , acoustic and slide playing was incredible.

Rory Gallagher - the most versatile of the GREAT guitarists - none of them could write, sing, produce, play incredible electric, acoustic and slide guitar and play multiple instruments, in this case harmonica, sax, mandolin, sitar and national steel guitar.

I forgot to mention Chris Britton of The Troggs and Pete Townshend. Britton's percussive palm muted downstrokes are a big part of my rhythm style and Townshend's aggressive string bashing rhythm playing was also a huge influence-many people have told me that I have the hardest strum they've ever seen-I've refined my string bashing style over the years so that I only hit the strings and my guitar bodies and pickguards are absolutely scratch free.
