Looks like a Mexican Strat from 1996 to me.

Theres a few issues with it though.

The horrible fretboard wear looks like it was caused by bleach.
The frets look bad down near the nut end of the neck. The upper frets are ok though.
That hole from where the stupid dunlop straplock was installed. That will need doweling and probably the paint touching up around that area.

Myself I'd pass on that guitar. If you have a hard time finding strats in the Philippines then you may want to consider it for the right money. Definitely play it before you buy it.

The pick guard screws are not original, at least the ones with the flat heads are not. Jimbo should be shot for putting his name on the pick guard!

It looks a little rough but it could be a good player. Regardless, if it were me, I would pass on that one.

Hi jimboo94: you are selling this rather than buying, is that right? Would you mind telling us how the fingerboard got into that condition? That isn't just wear from playing.

I guess you are trying to find out a reasonable price to ask, right?

To the eye there is nothing there that can't be put right - though it would be A LOT of work to make it good again, especially the fingerboard. That means the price would have to be low for any of us to bother with it. Personally, I'd give $100 for it, maximum. Some others may say more - or much less.

Any help?

Cheers - C

EDIT: to reduce the price after seeing the strap pin situation...

The serial number is where I would start Jimbo. As nikininja says, it looks like a '96 Mexican Strat. Other than that, you can email Fender Support, give them the serial number and they can tell you exactly what you should have. Assuming it hasn't been modified too far from original specs.

With more specific pics, like under the pickguard and under the neck join, people here can tell you what you have in relation to what you should have. Sorry I can't be more help.

Personally I wouldn't go near that guitar, the missing pickguard scews are evidence that someone has had the pickguard off most like to do some mods and according to the overall state of the guitar any mods done would have been quite amaturish. That guitar needs mucho work to be saleable if not you'll have a hard time getting much for it.You can start by getting a new pickguard and the proper screws and plugging the unsightly strap pin holes.Sorry to sound harsh but that's what I see.

Welcome to the forums Jimbo!

Personally I would listen to these guys. They really know their stuff.
:)
Sincerly, the other Jimbo.
