Hi, I have a Highway one and I´m trying to date it , it´s serial nr is Z6026347,wich means it was made in 2006, It has the smaller vintage headstock, maple fretboard, hot pickups (I think Alnico III), nitro satin finish, and the "greasebucket" tone circuit, . It has the "60th Anniversary" button on the back of the headstock, so apparently it was right after the ones that didn't have the greasebucket circuit and right before the summer 2006 "upgrade" when they switched to the fat 70s headstock., in my guitar, the neckplate has the inscription Fender Corona California that I don´t see in the pictures of other Highway One stratocasters of that age people posted, maybe some guitars wear a neckplate and others wear another ?thanks

Welcome to the forum!

Did you buy it used? It sounds like it's been modified cosmetically.

Maybe even the electronics have been changed?
