I've heard some positive comments regarding the new pickups but haven't really heard much in the way of a comprehensive review. Anyone care to share their thoughts?

I read a little about the N-3 pickups. It seems that each of the three N-3 pups on the guitar are specially designed for that position. Different types of alnico magnets for each position. I don't know more that that. I suppose "You Tube" has some reviews to listen to. I've been waiting for the N-3's to come out in a set for installing on any guitar.

I read your post (just above this). I have read the posts regarding the N-3 pups. I think that Fender has done well with their XD amps, the $799 American Strat & Tele. This is one of their most innovative years in awhile. Especially in selling to the under $1000 buyers.

Nice find Blertles! Looks like some nice upgrades. I'll be the first to say the Sunset Metallic finish isn't as visually appealing as it sounds.

I like the sound of the N-3's. Fender usually improves on their products. This proves itself out in the N-3 audio review. What really sounded good was the S-1 switching effect on the sound. I like that s-1 a lot. I am going to look into wiring in a S-1 switch for my Strat.
