Was wondering if anyone could help me out. I want to replace the stock pickups in my left handed Strat. I'm pretty sold on the CS 69's, but they're staggered. Would that be an issue in a left handed guitar?

Thanks for the help.

It will change the sound slightly but it never bothered Jimi.

I have a late model MIM Strat, which came with staggered poles on it's stock pickups. I love the sound from it. I don't think I'd want anything different. IMHO.

I gotta agree with Atolleter...it will change the sound a little but it shouldn't be too significant and it may even sound better to you...it certainly worked for a man named Hendrix. That said, I know there are people who would argue that in regards to Hendrix's sound, this was also just as much a result of the righty neck being strung backwards too...not just the pickups.

Honestly, just so long as you remember about the phase issue with the middle pickup (i.e. make sure it's reverse wound) and that it's orientated correctly with the other 2 pickups), I really wouldn't worry about it. Yes, I'm sure there is a difference but I seriously doubt it's a huge one. Of course if you're installing these yourself I might suggest leaving enough lead on the pickups when you install them so that if you decide you don't like the sound, you can flip the pickups over in the pickguard...easy fix either way :-).

Peace,
Jim

Thanks a lot, guys. I'm going to take the plunge and go ahead and buy the CS 69's.
