I have never seen him play one though. Anyone heard of this guys before?

Oh, the Fenders are 2.5 - 3 minutes into the video. He has a cool studio and guitar collection too

I've heard of him before but I don't know who he played with.If I had his bucks I'd have more than"just"67 guitars,I'd have that many Strats at least.

That is Michael Angelo Batio one of the greatest shredders on the planet. The guy is ambidextrous and plays a jointed guitar with 2 necks that lets him play lefty and righty at the same time. His music is not my cup of tea but the guy has supernatural talent. Look him up on youtube playing with both hands.

If you were around in the late 80s from memory I think he did some teach yourself VHS tapes on techniques. Which were popular at the time.
Was in his band and also in Nitro. This is when the glam metal and LA metal scene spat out the likes of Guns and Roses.

There is was so many amazing guitarists a lot of them formally trained hence the era of the shredder.

This guy is one of the top talents in shred. He just came to the scene too late in a band that was way to over the top.
