Is there anyone who has feeling about Jimmie Vaughan wiring?

I had a Jimmie for a while. I love that wiring scheme. I feel that it make use on middle pup. Im using it on all my Strat, other than my deluxe.

Tell me your thought on it.

I like the idea. I'm actually going to get my HSS strat wired that way as I find I NEVER use the tone control on the middle pickup but often would like to roll off a bit of treble from the bridge pickup.

I was always used to the old stlye wiring with the tone controls for the neck and mid pups only but was puzzled with the set up on the J.V. when I bought mine and was going to change it back to the old way but since that's the way he wanted it to be I decided to leave it alone.I'm getting used to it now as I got used to the different wiring of the 04 50th Ann. Strat.

I love it. About a year ago when I had my Texas Specials put into my Squier, my tech suggested I try something similar. The neck/middle pickups are wired the first tone knob, and the bridge to the second. I really liked it, since I never used the bridge pickup at all before because I thought it sounded too harsh. Now I just roll off on the tone a little and I use it often. I usually don't mess with the other knob much, so it doesn't really matter to me whether or not the middle pickup is wide open or not. Anyway, I asked my tech to modify my Fender like that too. And all of the Strats I ever get in the future will have the bridge pickup wired like that too. It's definitely one of my favorite mods. :)

I rewired my Texas Special strat that way when I converted it over to a SSS.I really like it .It gives more quack in the 2+4 positions and it makes the bridge pickup ,well, useable.
