Hi there Ceri.

Guess I'm aware that it's an international forum, but sometimes forget the implications of that!

A few translations to avoid folks running for Google..

Lemon Drop - a tribute Les Paul made by the Vintage company, designed by Trevor Wilkinson. It's a relic'd copy of the 1959 flamed maple top owned/modified by Peter Green and which he later sold to Gary Moore. Great sounding, playing and highly affordable.

Canine's Reproductive Organs - Dog's Bollocks (as in 'the dog's bollocks') meaning top drawer, top quality. ie "Wow look at that Strat - it's the dog's bollocks.."

Shout up for any other Brit oddities - no doubt Nikininja will also translate!

nb: have enjoyed your constructional work as detailed here. Any man that can make his own guitar neck is the absolute dog's bollock's as far as I'm concerned..

Haha - well, I suspect the fact the sensoring software has allowed "bollocks" through suggests that one doesn't travel either. No doubt people can work it out from the context, though... :D

I remember one year the Marshall catalog contained a quote from Jeff Beck saying: "My Marshall is the dog's bollocks." I thought: hmm, an international audience is going to be puzzled by that.

The next year's catalog contained the same quote, but reduced to: "My Marshall is the dog's." I thought: no, that probably doesn't make it any clearer...

And for anyone who is completely confused by this allusion: just ask yourself how the average male dog plainly feels about his intimate bits. They seem pretty happy with 'em, right? 8)

Cheers - C
