Does anyone have one of the latest mexican std strats? what tuners are on it? are they held on with screws, or like the Am standard where they are held on by a nut? anyone got some images.

I ask as i may have an opportunity to get the latest Mex Std Strat for a slightly better price that usual, but i want to replace the tuners to locking ones without leaving unsightly screw holes.

Mate I think you would be able to insert the Locking Tuners without a problem.

I have always put Locking tuners on my MIM's AND MIA's and both go up to 08.

i got a mim strat in december. i am considering locking tuners, so at the last string changa, loosened up one of the tuning keys, and they have the same setup as american strats- held on by a nut, with 2 alignment pins to heep the tuner in position. standard fender locking tuners should fit perfectly, from what i'm told.

I installed Sperzel locking tuners on my lefty MIM std strat. Love 'em!
