Hello! I'm going to buy Highway One Stratocaster, and I'm just wondering if you have ever played on it. If you have, can you please tell me, what was it like.

Thanks for the answers!

P.S.: Sorry for my bad English :)

Hi, I bought one in december 09 upgraded version. It is well made however it took me a while to get the action low, frets were not great out of the shop and needed levelling. sound is good though and I cannot see any need for customizing, despite reading some people say the pickups are poor, that is rubbish they are fine. It has the classic sound and I am happy with it.

I'm very pleased with mine. A pickup change was for the better, though. The Alnico 3's that came with were too hot for my liking.

I have a 2007 Fender Highway 1. It plays very good. I love the neck. I had an issue with one of the tuners; however, I upgraded all the tuners to Fender/Shaller Locking Tuners and solved that little issue. I absolutely love my Highway 1; however, I did modify the guitar a bit to my liking. Hope you like yours when you get it.

The Hwy 1 is one of the most underrated guitars by Fender, both the Strat and the Tele. You can't go wrong. Great necks on them, love the jumbo frets and the nitro finish with the woodgrain flowing through it is beautiful. I don't mind the stock pickups so much but I will eventually change them out. But after a set up to your playing preference, it is a GREAT guitar.
