You're not on your own Niki, I too don't see a join. Mind you I can't see any joins on my Highway either. They're either solid pieces of alder (which seems unlikely) or maybe they've been veneered top and bottom to cover up who knows how many strips of tonewood..

It may be well matched into a horizontal grain pattern that the stain is hiding. Sometime they get real lucky. My TelePlus had a natural finish on ash and damned if one could find the lines on that one.

It certainly looks like it's a one piece,if not it's the best grain match up I've ever seen.

Thank you . It is a 2006 updated highway one and it is supposed to be a special run that is why it still has a smaller headstock it has the grease bucket circut I could be wrong. I bought at Roxy Music in Laporte Indiana the have a website http://www.roxymusic.com/ . they still have some older guitars and have a custom shop one that looks Identical.

Do you happen to know if the guitar was FSR for Roxy Music or acquired elsewhere?

someboby said they didn't think his FSR had the full size sustain block. It looks like it does to me. I also see what looks like a join seam almost down the middle. Looking at the back. It looks like it was bookmatched. That is a beautiful guitar. I own several nice strats and yet I am still majorly jealous. Enjoy that one.
