Very nice. Sounds good?

The later Highways have the bigger sustain blocks amongst other things, but I always enjoyed the sound of the original Highways too. Just never got round to buying the older one. Mine is the later model.

Where did you find the guitar? I assume it's not 2nd hand. Must be NOS indeed, as I haven't seen an original Highway in a store for 18 months or so.

I'm a big fan of the "no messing about" vibe of the Highway series. But I love the new US Specials too - if indeed they are to be the Highway's replacement.

Thank you . It is a 2006 updated highway one and it is supposed to be a special run that is why it still has a smaller headstock it has the grease bucket circut I could be wrong. I bought at Roxy Music in Laporte Indiana the have a website http://www.roxymusic.com/ . they still have some older guitars and have a custom shop one that looks Identical.

I love that matte finish look. Nicely done. Now that we've checked it out, and given our approval, you have our permission to remove the labels....that is....if you still intend to keep it.

Nice! The 22nd fret is good to have when playing solos in the key of A's higher register. 8)

Sweet axe for sure, I prefer the smaller headstock but I am getting used to the 70's style on my Hwy 1. I too lucked out and got 07 model that was old stock and had been sitting in the box for 2 years. ENJOY!

I'd rather they did that with a solid maple neck, though it requires total
redesign:?
