Ya, I can relate...over the years my wife has finally overcome her jealously of my guitars. She knows that I "play" with it and enjoy fondling it's "neck" and caressing it's body, oh so carefully. Then those "hot licks" she hears about and knows that I have a lot of girlfriends, all that are simply beautiful. I even have one under the bed and two leaning against the wall in the bedroom..... But she (my wife) has come to grips with the fact that all these other "girlfriends" are here to stay......

Congrats on a great ax. My Surf Green Beck has become my #1 guitar over the last 7 years and since I developed nerve damage in my thumb the only guitar I can really play a bit at all. Because of the thickness of the neck it is easy for me to keep my thumb dead center where as a thinner neck .forces my thumb to want to wrap around which I cant do. But eveything aside it is just a great Strat and built like a friggin tank. I would really like to pick up a CS model but will wait till I can score one at a good price.

Congrats!! Jeff Beck is the man and his guitars always made me gravitate towards buying a strat; especially when the "Wired" albumn came out. I ended up buying a American Deluxe with SCN, S1 switching for the versatility but always admired the JB's signitures. Oh and the colors he choose for his guitars, White, Yellow and Surf Green are very cool I might add. Questions, do you play with your thumb?

During his "Little Richard" days in the 1990s, Jeff chose Vintage White, Black Sparkle, Seafoam Green and Midnight Purple.

Jeff nicknamed the Midnight Purple Strat as the "Purple Tone Rocket".

This example was made in 2000 and was the one of the last models produced (shown here with a cream pearloid pickguard, Lace Ultra pickup configuration [Blue/Gold/Red-Red Dually] and wiring).

Black Sparkle was offered only on the Custom Shop version of his guitar.

Hi, As far as I know, all Jeff Beck Strats (1990-2002) came with 4 Gold Lace pickups (with a on/off push button for the Gold dually. That was one of the reasons I sold mine, as the tone was a little more limited than the Ultra that came with the 3-way mini switch on the Red Lace Dually and the silver (middle) and blue (neck). I loved the bass ball bat necks on those models though!

I've seen a very rare Custom Shop example of a sparkling black Jeff Beck Strat in the past, however I never saw this guitar as a regular Artist Series production model.

This "Purple Tone Rocket" Jeff Beck Stratocaster has been professionally modified with the Lace "Ultra" pickup configuration and wiring scheme. It has also an aged cream pearloid pickguard.

The Jeff Beck Stratocaster in its original form has been introduced in 1991 and discontinued in 2000. It was replaced by the actual signature models in 2001, which were followed by Custom Artist versions in 2004.

Chromeface I dont know where you dig up these photos but you always post pictures of the best looking axes out there.lol

Jeff Beck is the greatest living player in the world today. Whenever any of the greats are asked who they think is the best player 8 out of 10 always say Beck. It is just really nice to see him getting his just do at 65 besides probably making the most money these days than he ever did before, with the Live at Ronnie Scotts DVD going platinum and co headlining big arenas with Clapton and a new CD coming out Jeff is very busy these days, and no one deserves it more.
