The photo doesn't do them justice but these are my two new babies. Sold 3 Les Pauls and ended up with a Fender Jazz bass and 2 American Deluxe Stratocasters. I'm a convert it looks like. The one on the right is the new sunset metallic but it doesn't show up properly in the photo. In person it's one of the most beautiful finishes I've ever seen on a guitar.

What a beautiful collection! Now you need to call in sick at work for a couple of weeks just to get used to them...

Hey, Thanks! Yeah, if I only could take off work. I'm pretty impressed with the quality at about half the cost of a Les Paul. Still American made all the way but priced more fairly I believe. Lovin' the Fender products...

Hi Yehhmon: nice purchases, congrats.

Is that a Geddy Lee bass or a regular '75 RI? I have the MIJ version of the '75, with cream binding and pearl inlays. Tarty of me, but I love those bound necks!

Cheers - C

Hi Yehhmon, welcome to the club.

You will not look back and I reckon you have made a top choice by buying the two lovely's that you have.

I really like that new Sunset Metallic colour.

It is giving me that GAS feeling!!!!

Let me see, hmmmmm CP 60's Sonic Blue Strat or 2010 Deluxe Strat in Sunset Metallic or other Deluxe Colour?

Hey I have noticed that on the Maple Neck one that you have, the Fender decal is a dark bold colour as opposed to the rosewood neck having the lighter colour decal...

Also as much as I like the maple neck, I'm not to sure if I like the black dot inlays on the fretboard...they should still be abalone inlays..hmmm....

Question:

why don't fender do Deluxe Strats in a nice Midnight Blue or even an awesome Shoreline Gold??

Anyway check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8j5X9y64M4

Why convert? Why not both?

They look nice! But I must ask why you think they are priced more fairly? The time to make a Strat compared to the time it takes to make a LP is much different. And what is the most expensive thing about making a guitar is like most other things Labor cost!

I loved my Les Pauls for sure but when I discuss cost, I can get 2 top 'o the line American Deluxe Strats for the cost of 1 Les Paul Standard. They are two different beasts for sure but I seem to enjoy the scale of the Fender a bit more for my leads and bends and stuff. This compound radius C shape neck is super comfortable. Thanks for all the welcomes.

I don't understand the "either or " mentality of the Les Paul vs Strat thing.
I own and play both LPs and Strats, and don't think one is better than the other, just different.
There is no way a Strat can cop the big fat sound of my LP with the neck pickup thru my Marshall, nor can the LP duplicate the crystal chime of my Strats thru my Roland amp on the clean setting. I don't love one more than the other, I just love them all, and play them as much as my wife will let me!!!!
PS, nice guitars tho!!!

Nice Strat's you have there, especially the Burst on the left. The one in the centre looks an interesting colour, I've not seen one quite like that before!

Ditto on the welcomes. The EC Signature Series guitar was created to satisfiy Eric's need for the best of both worlds so they employed active electronics for that purpose. In that regard as well, you also have available several Strats w/bridge HB's as well as the Dave Murray which has both a neck and bridge HB. With that in mind, we expect to see your little family grow.
