All,

Does anyone have any advice as to how to properly and safely clean corrosion and rust off of the 6 poles inside the pups? I had heard steel wool, but the pups are magnets and though steel wool does a good job, then you are left with "metal fur" on your pup poles!

Any recommendations on how this should be done?

Thanks to all!

Use a hole punch to make a cardboard mask (one hole) and try a scotch-brite pad on one pole. Gently! If it works to your satisfaction feel free to continue. Compressed air should clear any metal particles if you get any.

If you hose your pups... I assume no responsibility.

Unless you put something like clear nail polish on them after you clean them it will only come back. Be sure to use the cardboard mask and be lite with the nail polish.
