That is indeed their reputation. Most of the people I know who play any kind of stringed instrument go to the 12th for service. The guys at Steve's aren't bad, but they aren't luthiers who have dedicated their lives to building and repair. Having said that, they did confirm what a much younger and less experienced tech at Steve's had said previously!
