My Favorite Strat is my American Deluxe Strat. I haven't really given it a name, but I always refer to it (when talking to other people) as my Silver and Black. It's a color called "Chrome", but actually it's metallic silver. It has a black pearloid pickguard with black pickups and knobs.

I'm a 49ers fan and really dislike the Raiders (The teams are rivals in the San Francisco Bay Area). Shortly after buying it, I looked down at the guitar and realized I was looking at the colors of the Raiders football team. That's ok......I really like this guitar and it looks beautiful.

Hi jebus91: I don't have favorites amongst my children. I love them all for their different qualities.

I mostly know them by their colors, and (since I have more than one red one) by their place of origin too. My Red MIJ, for example. Not imaginative, huh?

Cheers - C

I've told this story on here before, but my #1 right now is what started out as a black standard series Squier that turned into a parts caster with everything but the body and neck replaced. I think maybe some trem springs are original as well. It really frustrated me the different iterations it went through as I search for things I liked. At the time I came across a french folk tale about La Bete Noir, kind of a nemesis to the main character and I thought the would be a fitting name.

I always found naming guitars kind of creepy. Don't know why. I have a 72 and it's just my Strat. I always thought of my guitars as tools. If I named all the tools in my toolbox, I'd forget them anyway.

+1
I have a few different guitars, but only one Strat. I think my wife has names for some of them; the blue one, the black one, the one that's wood-colored... etc.

Don't get me wrong, it's all cool if you do. It's just strange for me. Same with cars and boats. Just one of my phobias like giant baby head photos in Target. Just makes me feel creepy.
