Hey guys -

I'm about to buy my second American Strat (my first is a '97 model), and I looking for any thoughts you may have on what type of noiseless pick-ups I should install? I have Vintage Noiseless pups in my 1997 Am Std., and I really like them, but I'm considering alternatives for a little tonal variety. I'm a big fan of the more vintaged voiced single coils, too.

With all of this in mind, I'm thinking about either 2 Dimarzio's Area '58 and one Area '61, or Lace Holy Grails.

Any thoughts on either of these, or am I missing out on another set?

Thanks

People are probably tired of me pimping the Area '58, but I can't say enough about them. They sound VERY vintange and stratty while being dead quiet. I have a very noisy (electrically) house and these are MUCH quieter than the humbuckers in my Les Paul.

I have the Area '61 in the middle position too. This gives a slightly more subtle quack in positions 2 and 4 which sounds great clean. It gets lost a bit when overdriven, so depending on what you play you might want to go with all one model pickup (which gives more quack)

I hope this helps.
