We all make mistakes and pickup choice is a area where it is very easy to stumble. I've done it myself, you will always do better to listen to as much advice as possible then make your own mind up.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with everything you've said. I've definitely given my dad plenty of opportunities to say "I told you so" and probably still give him too many opportunities for it despite my age. I think I'm safe from it on the internet though. I wasn't being sarcastic or anything, just thought it was funny. On the bright side, I doubt he'll have any problem finding someone to take the pickups off his hands.

I completely agree with you, see your point and find it funny too. If I'd followed my dads advice when I was a kid, I'd be a millionaire now. I think its just a part of growing up. I for one would like to see the OP and his dad continue to use these forums.
