I can't view those pics from work but you and I have the same gear. I added a black/cream/black pickguard to mine though.

VERY NICE!! I have the classic 50's Strat and it's great too...

Hey...dude, you need to put those pedals on a board! Use velcro!

Is that just to look pretty, or is there some other technical reason..?

More portable and more stable, plus it saves wear and tear on the connecting patch cords. Also, you can put a power strip on it, plug all adapters into it, and have only one electrical cord to plug in....or, if you're using a single adapter, you can mount that on there as well.
That way you don't have everything moving all over the place. Most adapters break down due to the chord being turned and twisted. The copper wire on those cords is very thin. Same with patch cords. The more they're twisted, turned or whatever, the sooner they wear out.

Very easy and cheap to do. Just get a piece of plywood. put velco on it,
and put velco on the bottom of the pedals. That way, you can rip 'em off if you need to.

I made mine. Mine is a bit more complicated. I have a top and bottom,
the top is angled about 45 degrees. I put the adapters underneath the
pedal board, and run the wires up to the pedals from there.

Awesome. How many things do you have plugged into it?
