I dont understand why they offer such cool colors besides other things on Korean Fenders that are not upgraded on higher end models. I guess this is what makes them sell.

They have discontinued them 1/2009 sucks because it is one of the best looking guitars they have ever made in both the Tele and the Strat

The annoying is Fender has discontinued the Koa and Lite Ash guitars and never released a matching set of electric basses to fit the bill!

I bought one. Nice guitar. I didn't care for the pickups and installed some Kinmans.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

This guitar deserves a hot humbucker in the bridge position and a Floyd Rose tremolo.

Here's a Koa Strat with a Super Rock humbucker in the bridge. Not the Fender Koa HSS I was looking for, but a similar guitar built by DAVID SCHECTER, the man who had built the infamous Candy Apple Red Strat with the unmarked maple fretboard for Mark Knopfler in the early 1980s.

Mark's preference moved to the luxurious carved top Pensa "MK" models built by John Suhr in 1987 before returning to Fender in 2003. Here's a couple of photos of Mark with the MK1.
