I'm looking into getting a Multi Effects Pedal strictly for Blues and clean sounds . I also need one with good Amp modeling because I will be using headphones. I have a Jet City JCA2112RC which I love but I have to crank it to get that sweet bluesy sound and my wife constantly complains that it's to loud. So I need to get an effects unit that I can play through with headphones. I love the sound of the Boss ME-25 Boss's new product for 2010 here is a link{ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-qwf19ciNw } it seems to have some nice bluesy tones and fenders amp modeling like the Fender reverb deluxe. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hello!

I'm a big fan of Line 6 products and use a Pod X3. Its not "Strictly for Blues and clean sounds" but I rekon it will do all you require and a whole lot more!

Check'em out.

Hope this helps

Andy

Firstly let me say you'll never find an exact match for that tone. Secondly, multi effects pedals are a metric buttload of fun :). I have tried the boss gt 10 and digitEch tnx but I finally settled on the line 6 pod xt live. chosen for thief strong build good effects and super cheap price. Their moddling of amps like the 59 bassman and blackface deluxe are a pretty good tribute to the Original tones. Add some ts808 tubescreamer and you're laughing. I have set mine up as and exact match to my real rig (see my signature) basically as a live backup. Treat for practice at home when u do t want to annoy the mrs.

N e way line 6 pod Is my vote, get the xt live to use it live of course.

I've been trying to learn some SRV blues, with a Fender Frontman 25R and a Pod XTlive. I've liked the Deluxe Reverb amp emulation with a tube screamer in front, with my strat on the middle-bridge pickup setting.

It's not all of SRV's sound, but then I'm also not using heavy guage strings, and I'm not SRV. And I'd rather practice the guitar work than spend too much more time on the settings.

Thanks for the suggestions. Has anyone tried the Digitech RP1000? the Line 6 POD X3 Live seems to be a Fan Favorite. I would love if Line 6 Came out this june at the Music NAMM Show with a Line 6 M13 Stompbox and POD X3 Live Fusion. An upgraded unit like the M13 with a pedal and amp simulator would be sweet.

+1 on the Pod XT live. I got mine about a month ago. I love it! One thing about the XT live though, if you want more model packs the will run you $50US a piece. The X3 Live comes with all of them so nothing else to purchase. I don't have any extra packs. One of these days though :D

stevie's sound came from analog overdrive pedal (he used Ibanez Tube screamer family .....) boosting hot overdriven (fender) amp .

so i think you can't get the SRV's tone from Multi effect / digital effect. from multi effect, you can't get the dynamic of the sound.

This guy is going straight into a PA with a Line 6 X3 Live playing some SRV and it's not bad at all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPEaeqzb ... re=related. This one also through a small blackheart but using Amp Simulation: Fender Deluxe Reverb, Cab: 4x10 Line 6 Stomp: 808 Tube Screamer Simulation, And Reverb and this dude is nice on his axehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38I1JaUtTzs so it can be done with an effects unit, does not have to be dead on just have a nice tone and this version of SRV version of little wing is sweet. 8)

check out a Korg Pandora, it's loaded with effects and pre-sets, it's tiny, a bit bigger than a cassette tape, you can plug head phones right into the thing. The newer ones have usb and other software. I mentioned pre-sets right, they have names like Angus, Jimi, BB, Eddie, Eric and this SRV guy.

The new Vox Tone Lab multi effects pedals are supposed to be the closest that you can get to the real McCoy as far as modeling and effects go.It has a 12AX7 tube to give a tube like warmth to amp models and it reproduces many classic effects, has a chromatic tuner and is only $199 at MF.You shouldn't have any problem getting any classic blues tone from SRV to Buddy Guy.
