Anyone ever do this? How did it sound? Any problems in installation?

Thanks!

The body and the pickguard must altered to accommodate. The end result is rather disappointing in the sense that the pickup doesn't sound louder, still sounds like a Strat pickup and after everything is said and done, it looks silly where the inevitable notion of, "I (or he) should have left well enough alone" immediately comes to mind. YMMV.

Ooohh, I'm fascinated with Strat/Tele combos. This is my dream guitar if I win the lottery:

Are you asking about putting a Tele bridge AND pickup on a Strat, or just a Tele-like pickup in a Strat ie: a pickup with a baseplate? The combination of the pickup mounted to the bridge and a baseplate on the pickup are what makes the Tele twang.

A Tele bridge on Strat will require intense modifications. Might as well buy a real Tele.

Or, there are many pickup manufacturers that make Strat pickups with a baseplate and base plates alone that you can add yourself. Try googling 'Strat pickup with base plate'. It gets you near the Tele sound, but not 100% because the pickup is still attached to the Strat's plastic pickguard as opposed to the Tele metal bridge.
FYi - This is what a base plate for a Strat pickup looks like:

Sure for a Tele neck pickup, but the OP is looking for Tele bridge pickup.
