I am 62 years old and have been playing since I was 15. A long time ago I knew a musician who had a strat with a mute in the bridge. It was made of metal with (I think) a cotton pad that you could flip down onto the strings to give a mute effect while playing free. I have never seen or heard of this in recent years, so my question is, has anybody seen or heard of this as it was kind of a cool attachment.
