Well the guy was a littlebit suspicous. Paranoia probably! Well the neck and middle pickups are stock and they suck bigtime. And theres about 1 mm space between the neck and body, not on the back where the bolts are but in front (hard to explain especialy when my english sucks! The small space between the pickguard and the 22 fret). Thank you for your reply, i allready feel much better!

Looks like a Standard to me. A Highway 1 would have the Vintage Style 6 screw bridge.

You got a 2001 (Z1... serial#) American SERIES Stratocaster. The American Series were the predecessor to today's American Standards.

The gap is perfectly normal. The 22nd fret overhangs above the pickguard. Vintage style 21 fret necks don't have this.

Enjoy your guitar!

Looks like an 01 American Series Strat.Headstock and saddles are correct,as is the logo .Fender changed the saddles and trem block in 08 and started with the gloss fretboards.Previous to that it used satin on the front and back of the neck. The pickup covers looked aged. They werent stock.Could be just the camera or it could mean the pickups were changed or just the covers.

You are correct about the pickups, on the bridge is a dimarzio hs-3, not sure about the other pickups though

That's interesting!

My HW1 is an '06, and it has two string trees. I hadn't realized that they had been changed to one!

You learn something new every day, I guess. :)

Hi there,
This is a 2001 USA standard Stratocaster, made in the Corona plant California.
These Strats are really good, and sound fantasic, I own a 2003 from the same era, and really they rock....the alnico V staggered pick ups are marvelous.

The Highway one's, doesen't have the high gloss finish, no insciptions on the neckplate, bear the original Fender bridge with vintage saddles, not the modern rectangulars as on yours, they also have a larger 70ties style headstock, they have jumbo frets, and have alnico III staggered pickups.

Enjoy your standard USA Strat.

Well at first i thought that its maybe a partcaster, becouse the neck was great and i saw the corona neckplate but i wasnt sure about the pickups and the body, since standard stratocaster series wasnt produced back in 2001( like metropolis74 said) and hw1 with a serial number Z1 was, and i saw this finish on a lot of hw1's! Well i was wrong !
Fenderastic thanks alot!

Yeah I'd watch that, my highway is a 2008 and it has 2 tees.
